Most SEO content writers tend to make a lot of mistakes that stand in the way of success. This could either be because they don’t have the kind of resources to start an effective SEO campaign or it could also be that they tend to make some of the dumbest writing mistakes. If you are a writer and you keep making the same mistakes all the time, then don’t expect to get great results! Here are a few mistakes:

• Writing strictly SEO: It is natural to write in order to get more traffic and bait more links. But simply churning out stupid articles that are stuffed with keywords and phrases can be really stupid.
• Adding content only on top: There are different types of online readers. Some only read the first 2 lines or look at the page layout, while some only select the parts that they find attractive. Still other, only read the bottom half of the content. And of course, there are a few who will read the entire page. So, make sure you write to cater to all these different types of readers.
• Not knowing how to use your keywords: It is not enough to just choose a good set of keywords. You should also understand how they should appear on your site, how they fit together and how they fit in with the content.
• Writing without purpose: Simply submitting your articles to generate more traffic is not enough. You’ll just end up spending a lot of time and energy on a specific SEO tactic and won’t know whether it is working for you or not. So, first figure out your purpose.
